Susie Hicks hikes the Pacific Crest Trail for Homeless Veterans

In December 2018, Susie Hicks found herself in the unfortunate category of “Homeless veteran.” After receiving the support she needed from the Valor Clinic Foundation, Susie wanted to help give back to the organization and to help her fellow homeless veterans by embarking on a through hike of the Pacific Crest Trail.

The Pacific Crest Trail stretches from the Mojave desert in southern California to the lush jungles of northern Washington state and covers more than 2,650 miles in hiking trails. If you want to follow along with Susie’s hike, be sure to sign up for her newsletter or follow her on her YouTube channel

Susie is walking the trail to raise money for homeless veterans through the various outreach efforts of the Valor Clinic Foundation. If you would like to donate to support her cause, please make a donation pledge by following this link. Susie said it best when she said that her trek is, “for my fellow brothers and sisters in arms that need a Hand-up on the Homefront.” Will you step up and take a donation pledge today to support Susie Hicks on her 2,000+ mile journey?
