I'm writing about a place where hope is restored daily—Paul's House, the Major Paul Syverson Veterans Sanctuary.
Located in the historic Hotel Jonas in Kunkletown, PA, Paul's House provides shelter for up to 13 homeless veterans each day. But we offer far more than just a bed. We serve three healthy meals daily, specifically designed to help with health challenges faced by homeless veterans. Our residents have structure, schedules, and assigned responsibilities that help them rebuild their lives.

About 20% of veterans who stay with us have canine companions that provide comfort and emotional support during their recovery. Paul's House serves as a crucial bridge for veterans transitioning from homelessness to stability. We help veterans who, due to health or financial circumstances, cannot find or maintain shelter on their own. The structured environment helps them rebuild their lives step by step.
