A SECRET to VALOR SUCCESS – BANANA BOX QUEENS!

The REAL SECRET to VALOR’s SUCCESS is the effort and dedication of the 100’s of VALOR VOLUNTEERS. It’s a grateful kind of people volunteering and determined to brake the Veteran Suicide Cycle of 22 a DAY any way we can! And just so you know, kind of like the old Ivory Soap commercial’s that claimed Ivory was 99.99% pure, VALOR is almost 99.99% ALL VOLUNTEERS!!

So what do Banana Boxes have to do with this SUCCESS you ask? Well the Banana Boxes work out to be a perfect storage, transportation and organizational container – and they come with lids. From being used for separating all donated clothing, etc. for Stand Down distribution to being just about the right size for our Free to Veterans At Risk Holiday Meals.

This past Thanksgiving and Christmas, VALOR exceeded 500 Holiday Meals deliveries each, and we expect that number to continue to grow. Since we do 3 Holiday Meals a year (Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas) and at 500 each, that is a minimum of 1,500 Banana Boxes for meals this year alone.

Which brings me to the Banana Box Queens pictured above. Both Marianne (left) and Kalei (right) work to unload a very essential and large delivery of BANANA BOXES! Thank You!!
