News 13's report, Marie Johns shared that "VALOR Clinic Foundation is getting a better spot to fight food insecurity.  For the past two years, VALOR Clinic's Food Pantry expanded its mission at the former Camp Trexler Dining Hall.  But now, the building is going back to its original use.

According to News 13’s Nicole Walters, “the benefactor that purchased the Jonas property just bought them a new pantry location at Route 115 in Saylorsburg."  Mark Baylis, Founder and CEO of VALOR Clinic, explained: "He needs an all-weather, all-season dining hall for a youth camp that is also on here."

Nicole Walters noted that VALOR Clinic Foundation is preparing Easter meals "for the over the 700 struggling Veterans this Easter.  The number of service men and women in need has almost doubled from last year. Volunteers are still needed, along with key donations like Turkeys."

Leia Collins, VALOR Clinic Food Pantry Manager said, "Taking a meal, to prepare for, to pay for, takes that little stressor off of our Veterans.  And if we can do that, then the holiday is already a success for them. There’s a few things that we really need - definitely Turkeys, cake mix, pie crust, filling, and frosting."

Nicole Walters added, "more Volunteers are needed to help pack.  That's where Army Veteran Glenn Fried comes in.  He usually lends a hand with the Outdoor Program."

"In the meantime, VALOR still needs Easter donations," she continued. “You can drop them off here at the former Camp Trexler Dining Hall Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to Noon."  You can also call Robin Wassum at 610-417-3068 or Lei Collins at 609-480-6263  before April 1st to schedule a time."
