East Stroudsburg Stand Down at Dansbury Park – August 9, 2026

Today, we want to thank the 45 dedicated Volunteers and our incredible team who made the Dansbury Park Stand Down a success.  Special thanks to the amazing volunteers from East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, Helping Hands & Beyond, the Knights of Columbus, Stroudsburg’s Rotary Foundation, and VALOR Clinic — your presence was meaningful and appreciated. 

For a Veteran, sometimes a hot meal is just the beginning. A welcoming conversation and someone willing to spend time with you can mean even more. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for providing both. Your warmth and generosity helped create a day of connection and camaraderie for our Veterans, their families, and members of our community. 

Volunteers helped provide much needed basic essential items to 13 Veterans, 5 Dependents, and 31 Civilians, for a total of 49 individuals helped.  VALOR distributed 470 items – including clothing, shoes, socks, hygiene items and underwear as well as 8 food bags.  We appreciate everyone who dropped off donations during the Stand Down. The summer weather was hot and humid, with temperatures in the high 80's.

For those interested in volunteering, our next East Stroudsburg Stand Down takes place on Sunday, September 13th, 2026 – the 2nd Sunday of the month, from 9:30 am until 1:00 PM.
