Hazleton Stand Down – February 1, 1026
Today we want to thank our 17 Teammates and Volunteers for helping 1 Veteran and 28 Civilians at the Hazleton Stand Down today. This includes individuals from VALOR Clinic, and the Hazleton Mess Tent group, who provided food for attendees and volunteers in bitterly cold (-1°) weather!
Veterans Stand Downs are part of VALOR’s Hope for the Homeless program whose mission is to provide immediate relief and support such as food, shelter, and counseling services. Thanks to your commitment to our Veterans and their families, we provide immediate relief and support as food, shelter, and counseling services.
Thanks to generous donations, we were able to distribute 337 items and 12 hygiene bags today, serving 29 individuals, with 8 of those individuals being under 18. Items included clothing, shoes/boots, coats, warm gloves and socks, underwear, outerwear, water, and other needs.
