Lehigh Valley Stand Down – July 25, 2026

Today we want to thank our 80 Lehigh Valley Stand Down volunteers for conducting the Stand Down in Easton, Bethlehem, and Allentown today.  This includes Volunteers from Blessed Trinity, Catholic Charities, Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship, CWA LOCAL 13000, Green Pond Traditions of America TOA, Saint Francis of Assisi, VALOR Clinic and those who volunteered individually.

Warm thanks to volunteers from St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and the O’Briens for providing and serving delicious hot meals, drinks, baked goods, snacks, and welcoming conversation at all three locations.   

Easton: we served 2 Veterans and 34 Civilians (36 Total).  Bethlehem: we served 5 Veterans and 10 Civilians (15 Total).  Allentown: we served 1 Veteran and 30 Civilians (31 Total).  The Total numbers:  8 Veterans, 0 Dependents and 74 Civilians – a total of 82 individuals assisted today.  

Our donors and volunteers made a meaningful difference at this event. Through their generosity, dedication and hard work, Veterans, dependents, and civilians were able to receive 629 donated items, including Clothing, Footwear, Socks, Shoes, Underwear, Hygiene items, nonperishable Food and other essential resources.  The weather started out absolutely beautiful in Easton and Bethlehem, but by the time the team reached Allentown, it had become a hot day!  

For Veterans in need of basic necessities (including clothing, footwear, and non-perishable meals) and connections to supportive services, community members in need, as well as those interested in Volunteering, our next Lehigh Valley Stand Down takes place on Saturday, August 26th, 2026 – the 4th Saturday of the month.
