Lehigh Valley Stand Down – January 24, 2026

Today we want to thank our 80 Lehigh Valley Stand Down volunteers for conducting the Stand Down in Easton, Bethlehem, and Allentown today.  This includes volunteers from CWA LOCAL 13000, Green Pond Traditions of America TOA, Messer, Safe Harbor, VALOR Clinic, and those who volunteered individually.  

Warm thanks to volunteers from St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and the O’Briens for providing and serving a delicious hot meal and soup, drinks, baked goods, snacks, and welcoming conversation at all three locations.   

Easton: we served 4 Veterans and 18 Civilians (22 Total).  Bethlehem: we served 12 Civilians (12 Total).  Allentown: we served 5 Civilians (5 Total).  The Total numbers:  4 Veterans, 0 Dependents and 35 Civilians – a total of 39 individuals assisted today.  VALOR distributed a variety of items, including Clothing, Footwear, Socks, and hygiene items.   The weather at all locations was cold with low windchills. It was breezy in Easton and Allentown, but sunny in Bethlehem!

For Veterans and homeless Veterans in need of basic necessities (including clothing, footwear, and non-perishable meals) and connections to supportive services, as well as those interested in Volunteering, our next Lehigh Valley Stand Down takes place on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 – the 4th Saturday of the month.
