East Stroudsburg Stand Down at Dansbury Park – August 10th, 2025
Today, we want to thank the 23 dedicated Volunteers and our incredible team who made the Dansbury Park Stand Down a success. Special thanks to the amazing volunteers from Helping Hands & Beyond, Knights of Columbus, Saint John’s Church, Stroudsburg’s Rotary Foundation, and VALOR Clinic, as well as the homeless individual who joined us in giving back — your presence was meaningful and appreciated.
Warmest thanks to Saint John’s for generously providing a hot meal, water, drinks, snacks, and — most importantly — genuine conversation and connection for everyone involved. Together, we made
a difference.
Volunteers helped provide much needed basic essential items to 11 Veterans, 5 Dependents, and
26 Civilians, including 2 individuals under 18, for a total of 42 individuals helped. The weather was beautiful and in the high 70s and low 80s!
VALOR distributed 492 items – including clothing, shoes, socks, hygiene items and underwear as well as 8 food bags. We appreciate everyone who dropped off donations during the Stand Down, including a gift card from Our Lady of Victory Church.
For those interested in volunteering, our next East Stroudsburg Stand Down takes place on Sunday, September 14th, 2025 – the 2nd Sunday of the month, from 9:30 am until 1:00 PM.
