Las Vegas Fisher House celebrates 8th birthday with local military veterans

The Las Vegas Fisher House is marking a big milestone with those fighting in a line of duty.

The foundation provides temporary housing to military veterans and active-duty families across the country.

Community members and military members showed their thanks by celebrating the foundation's 8th birthday on Thursday.

Guests had the chance to tour the open house and discover the 'home away from home' that provides a sense of comfort for thousands of families.

"The Fisher House Foundation and the Fisher House supports veterans and active duty service members of all eras," said Stephanie Wheeler, Fisher House manager.
