US Army orders more Oshkosh FMTV A2 vehicles

Oshkosh Defense, an Oshkosh Corporation company, has been awarded multiple contracts totaling $214.8 million for additional Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle A2 (FMTV A2) trucks and trailers.

The contracts are issued by the U.S. Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA).

The latest orders include the first procurement of Low Velocity Air Drop (LVAD) vehicles, designed to enhance strategic mobility and sustainment operations. These specialized vehicles, built for rapid deployment in contested and austere environments, successfully underwent airdrop testing in 2024, proving their capability in supporting airborne operations.
