Wilkes-Barre VA Center 32nd Annual CHALENG/Community Homelessness Assessment Event – May 15th, 2025
Today we want to thank our 5 Teammates and Volunteers for helping 14 Veterans, 1 Veteran Dependent and 1 Civilian. On another beautiful, sunny day we assisted 16 individuals with water, clothing, shoes, food bags, hygiene bags, and other basic needs.
At this event, organized by the VA Wilkes-Barre Healthcare System, VALOR Clinic shared the wealth of our 4 Veteran programs, our Mission, Purpose, and History with attendees. VALOR Clinic was honored to be a part of this important initiative.

Project CHALENG (Community Homelessness Assessment, Local Education and Networking Groups) unites homeless service providers, advocates, Veterans and concerned citizens toward the goal of meeting the evolving needs of Veterans who are homeless.
This process describes the needs of homeless Veterans, identifies the barriers they face in obtaining permanent housing and works to resolve them through planning and cooperative action.
For those interested in volunteering, but who do not know where to start, VALOR Clinic offers diverse opportunities for you to help us help our Veterans!
