Pets have long been recognized as valuable companions, providing comfort, love, and support to their owners. For veterans who have served their country and may be facing various challenges, having a furry friend by their side can be even more beneficial. The VALOR Clinic Foundation understands the importance of this bond and has been working tirelessly to connect veterans with either a Companion or Service Dog.
In December 2018, Susie Hicks found herself in the unfortunate category of “Homeless veteran.” After receiving the support she needed from the Valor Clinic Foundation, Susie wanted to help give back to the organization and to help her fellow homeless veterans by embarking on a through hike of the Pacific Crest Trail.
Today we are excited to share the continued progress the team continues to make on our Retreat lodge building.
Today we thank Wendy McCartney and Stacey Kramer who held jeans drive at their workplace, Sanofi.
