Country music legend George Strait continued his long-standing support for American military personnel during a recent stop in Columbus at Buckeye Country Superfest.
Through Strait's partnership with the Military Warriors Support Foundation, Jonathan Sultan, a retired U.S. Army specialist from Tacoma, Washington, was presented with a "life-changing gift" at the festival: a mortgage-free home.
According to the foundation, Sultan, who served from 2006 to 2008, was chosen for the donation from a pool of applicants. Through the foundation's Homes4WoundedHeroes program, veterans are presented with a mortgage-free home in addition to mentorship and support, including assistance with home repairs, for three years.
